Philosophy

Many people believe sleep training simply involves leaving your child to “cry it out”. That is definitely not the case. There are many gentle approaches that can have a hugely positive impact on a child’s sleeping habits. Often simple changes to routine, diet and sleep environment quickly make a difference. Ultimately, it’s about a child getting the sleep they need in order to develop and be happy and healthy.

I don’t believe in one single method, but take a holistic approach that considers the individual needs of the child and parents. Before putting together a personalized plan for you, I consider a number of factors, including:

* Your parenting philosophy

* Family dynamics

* Your child’s temperament

* Medical background

* Developmental stages

* Current settling techniques

* Diet.

All children are different, and it is important we find what suits them as individuals, as well as what aligns with the parent or parents’ individual parenting philosophy. I will provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to establish an age-appropriate routine and healthy sleeping habits, which will transform your child’s sleep.
